Marathon of Life Drop 02 continues to explore a life philosophy focused on long-term goals, valuing and celebrating moments of calm and personal reflection. It recognizes that the true worth of things lies not in the when, but in the what. Marathon of Life Drop 02 remains a tribute to a patient life, to long journeys, and to missions that span an entire lifetime.
In this second release, the campaign faithfully portrays the peaceful life of Moto K., a man over 80 who grew up in Japan when it moved at a different pace than today, back when rice fields were abundant just a few kilometers from central Tokyo. The piece draws on this cultural imagery and old customs, embracing them to highlight the value of those more mundane achievements that, though they may seem small, require daily care and gradual processes. To emphasize this way of life—slower and more long-term—four traditional haikus have been included, perfectly reflecting the concept.
